After years of working in the Minneapolis and Duluth areas, owner, Lindsay, recognized a need for elevated salon and spa services closer to home. Wanting to bring more options to the area—and reconnect with the community that helped raise her—she returned to Willow River with a mission: to create a warm, welcoming space where guests can feel truly taken care of.

Lindsay mLASKOCH
Hi there! I’m Lindsay—a Willow River native, born and raised. After a few years of building my career in the Minneapolis and Duluth areas, I felt a strong pull to come back to my roots and serve the incredible community that helped raise me. Being home again and doing what I love in a place that means so much to me is truly the best of both worlds.
As a self-proclaimed people pleaser, I know how important it is to take time for yourself and not pour from an empty cup. That’s exactly why I created Willow + Root—a space where you can relax, feel pampered, and walk out feeling like the very best version of yourself.
Behind the chair, I specialize in low-maintenance, lived-in color, blonding, hand-tied extensions, and precision cuts. I’m passionate about helping clients create long-term haircare plans so their style stays fresh and healthy—whether they see me every 6 weeks or every 6 months.
As Willow + Root grows, I’m thrilled to expand our offerings beyond hair by building a talented team of salon & spa professionals. My goal is to create a salon environment where both guests and professionals feel supported, inspired, and excited to grow.
When I’m not in the salon, you’ll find me spending time with my family or friends, walking my two pups—Nova the Great Dane & Knox the Springer Spaniel—or tending to my flower beds. In the colder months (a.k.a. tundra season), I’m usually cooking up new recipes or diving into a DIY home project. Need dinner inspiration, a home refresh, or a haircare reboot? I’m your girl!

Hi, I’m Lauryn! I’m an esthetician with a deep passion for helping people feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. I offer a variety of customized services—from advanced facials and waxing to lash lifts and brow shaping—all designed with your unique needs in mind.
My journey into skincare started from personal experience. Growing up, I struggled with my skin and know firsthand how it can affect your self-esteem. Seeing an esthetician changed that for me—it gave me confidence and made me feel seen. That experience inspired me to pursue this path so I could provide that same support and care to others.
I’m all about building real, lasting connections with my clients and helping you reach your skincare goals through thoughtful, results-driven treatments. Whether you're looking for relaxation, rejuvenation, or long-term skin solutions, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
When I'm not in the treatment room, you’ll probably find me spending time with family and friends, paddleboarding on the lake, walking my dogs, or planning my next travel adventure. I also love a good shopping day—finding something new always brings me joy!

Hi, I’m Macy! I’m a hairstylist with a true passion for helping people feel confident, beautiful, and completely themselves. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved all things hair—and now I get to live out that passion every day behind the chair.
I specialize in blonding, updos, and all-over color, and one of my favorite parts of the job is helping clients create the perfect haircare routine to keep their look healthy, radiant, and long-lasting. But what really drives me is connection—there’s nothing better than seeing someone light up when they feel their best.
I’m so grateful to be part of such an amazing team here and can’t wait to welcome both familiar and new faces into my chair.
When I’m not in the salon, you’ll probably find me outdoors soaking up time with my family and friends, spoiling my two pups, Winnie and Callie, or sneaking in a little shopping and a fun road trip.
